After just one season in South Beach, Danny Amendola has been released by the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN. The release came as a bit of a surprise, as Amendola had another year left on his contract at just $6 million.
NFL free agency officially kicks off March 13 at 4 p.m and Amendola will be searching for a new home, but will he have to look very far or would he look to reunite with his ex-team, the New England Patriots?
The partnership between Bill Belichick and Amendola didn’t end on the greatest of notes, but according to NBC Sports Boston, it’s very well possible that the Patriots would consider bringing Amendola back to Foxborough.
