Details On Shaq Joining Papa John’s Board Of Directors and How Many Franchises He Bought After Racist CEO John Schnatter Stepped Down Last Year After Saying N-Word On Conference Calls (IG Post)

Papa John’s was definitely canceled by people in 2018 after CEO John Schnatter was caught on conference calls saying the n-word. Nobody’s been rocking with them like that since then but now they’re pulling all the stops to get customers back.

Papa John’s just got Shaquille O’Neil to join their board of directors. Shaq announced the move on Instagram and on Good Morning America. He even bought nine franchises in Atlanta. I guess nothing will stop him from getting to the bag.

“I am so excited to be joining the Papa John’s family as a member of the Board of Directors, a soon-to-be investor in nine Papa John’s franchises in Atlanta and an ambassador for the brand.”

It’ll be interesting to see if Shaq is actually able to get old customers back. People are already comfortable enough with other popular pizza chains such as Domino’s and Pizza Hut.
