Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski has announced his retirement from the New England Patriots.
The former Arizona Wildcat, announced his retirement via IG on Sunday evening.
Gronkowski, 29, goes out on top after winning his 3rd Super Bowl title against the Los Angeles Rams this past February.
He finishes his career with 79 touchdowns, including a career high 17 in 2011.
Despite battling injuries throughout his career, Gronkowski became the most dominant TE that the NFL has known.
He saved his best catch for last as his 29-yard catch with 7:37 left in the 4th quarter in the Super Bowl led to the game-winning and only TD of SB LIII.
During his nine-year career, Gronkowski was a 4-time All-Pro and a 5-time Pro Bowler.
His next stop will be Canton as a Pro Football Hall of Famer.
