Superstar Frosh Zion Williamson made his return to the Duke lineup Thursday night in their quarterfinal match up versus Syracuse.
Zion, the ACC Freshman and Player of The Year, returned after missing nearly a month with a knee sprain during his Feb. 20th match up against North Carolina, a game in which they lost.
Duke struggled without the freshman only going 3-3 during his absence.
Well Zion returned with a vengeance during the first half Thursday night’s game as they look to advance to the semifinals to face North Carolina for a third time season.
Zion went a perfect 9-9 from the field, 1-1 from the three-point line and had 21 points and 9 rebounds during the first half.
Apparently, Syracuse Senior guard Frank Howard wasn’t too excited after Zion threw down a monster dunk to give the Blue Devils an early 14-9 lead.
Let’s just say Howard channeled his inner Grayson Allen in his attempt to stop the Zion freight train.
