Was hoping it would never come to this, but sadly it has.
Lavar Ball stepped onto the mainstream scene hyping up his 3 sons and saying they were destined to play in the NBA for their hometown Los Angeles Lakers. We all said that he’s a lunatic and is just looking for attention. The attention he got and good lord it wasn’t just a smudge, he became must-see TV whenever he spoke. Surely it helped that his oldest was handpicked by Magic Johnson to lead the Lakers back to the promised land, but Lavar said the most insane things that somehow came true and promoted his family brand while doing so.
His right-hand man, Alan Foster, might’ve tore all it down.
We know about the scam that Foster was running, stealing money behind Lonzo Ball’s back. Lavar’s 3 sons seem to be separating themselves from the brand and there were rumors that they weren’t talking to their dad at all.
I mean the whole situation is bizarre and kind of sad to me. Yes, Lavar got all the attention and seemed like in the process, making his children uncomfortable with the whole situation. But Lavar got the attention he needed for his brand to blow up, he even got his own damn reality show for his family. I mean come on who gets all of that by talking loud on TV?
But alas, the brand is in a state of chaos and is in danger of folding. Lavar talked about that rumor and gave an update on if it’s really folding or not.
