The Chiefs didn’t immediately release Hill after the audio leaked, they just decided to suspend him.
The only thing that is probably saving him is that he didn’t admit on the tape that he broke the kid’s arm, just that he beats him with a belt and punches him in the chest.
The cops were called to his house because on the tape Hill says his pregnant fiancee should be terrified of him.
A spokesperson for the Overland Park Police Department confirms two units were sent to the Kansas City Chiefs star’s Overland Park, Kansas home around 8:30 PM local time.
The audio tapes purportedly capturing Hill threatening his fiancee during a heated conversation about their child abuse case had gone public just around 2 hours prior to the police call.
A spokesperson wouldn’t tell us the specific nature of the call, but suggested it was connected to the release of the audio tapes.
We’re told no one was arrested as a result of the call — including Hill. In fact, it’s unclear if Hill was even home at the time police arrived to the house.
