Terrell Owens had some pretty valuable stuff of his get auctioned off to a random man in Georgia, but that’s not even half of the story
Bizarre story that I haven’t seen linked to any type of NFL player or any athlete for that matter. You would think that Owens would know if his things were getting sold off since the things are pretty, pretty valuable.
The stuff is really cool — a custom bust of TO, old playbooks, autographed helmets, cleats, and even a copy of an NDA that we’re assuming the NFLer gave to people at parties. via TMZ
See? Some really valuable things in there. The recent NFL Hall of Fame inductee was asked if he knew about these type of things being sold off and he simply said no. The storage company that was holding these things simply said Owens stopped paying, so they shipped his stuff off.
Items in Owens’ old storage unit in Atlanta were auctioned off after he stopped making payments to the company.
Owens’ response was this, which really made this story head scratching.
We reached out to TO, who says he had no idea his stuff was about to be auctioned off, telling us his people had been trying to make contact with the storage company for years but had been getting the runaround.
This could simply be a case of a misunderstanding or one of the sides is completely lying. Some good news for Owens out of this, the man who won his items is happily willing to give them back!
The man who bought all the stuff, James Rice of Jan’s Used Furniture in Griffin, GA, tells us he’s more than willing to give it back to its rightful owner.
What a great happy ending.
