The Titans took their pick and no….it wasn’t a quarterback.
The Titans selected Jeffery Simmons at #19, and it’s seems like a home run.
When healthy, Simmons is an absolute monster and would’ve been a top 10, maybe even top 10 pick if he was healthy. His injury questions came when Simmons tore his ACL during the pre draft process which made him fall down a lot of boards.
He also comes with some baggage off the field as well. He was caught on video punching a woman in an effort to break up a dispute between his sister and the woman who was punched. Simmons said he regretted his actions and has done a lot of work to rebuild his image.
Simmons will most likely be out for most of the season while he recovers from his torn ACL he suffered in early 2019. But if he can get healthy and get back to that dominant form that had him high on boards before the injury, then the Titans got an absolute steal.
The Titans will now look to day 2 and look to address EDGE and most likely WR.
