Well now for the most obvious, but delayed news of the day. Zion Williamson has declared for the 2019 NBA Draft.
We knew this was going to be the outcome, but there were some rumors flying around that he was considering staying for another year. Clearly those rumors weren’t true as Zion will most likely be drafted as the first pick in the draft. There are some questions regarding Zion’s offensive game, particularly his jump shot. But his stupid good athleticism, his potential as a defensive star, and a true desire to get better eliminates a lot of early worries.
Keep your eyes on May 14th as that’s the day the NBA Draft lottery is unveiled. Will Zion end up playing in Madsion Square Garden as a Knick? Maybe in northern Ohio as a Cleveland Cavalier? Maybe even alongside Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker in Phoenix? We won’t know until then.
