Ola and Abel Osundairo were supposedly involved in helping stage Jussie Smollett’s own hate crime. The two have since have had a hard time finding agencies in Chicago to bring them on board in pursuing acting careers as a result of the controversy. According to TMZ now, the two are strangely suing Smollett’s lawyers for defamation and not Smollett himself. They had a press conference earlier announcing the lawsuit.
The two attorneys representing Smollett are Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian. The Osundairo brothers are saying that Geragos and Glandian lied to the media to make it seem that they were the “culprits in a real, homophobic and racist attack.” The lawsuit was filed in a Chicago federal court.
The brothers added that Glandian went on Good Morning America and Today and told lies which included that they wore whiteface in the staged attack and they set up their own Nigerian steroid trafficking ring. They also said she lied on one of the brothers by saying they engaged in “fortification” with Smollett.
Ola and Abel have since said that they have suffered extreme emotional distress, humiliation, anxiety, damages to their reputation, and “damages to current and prospective business relations.”
Geragos and Glandian have since denied any defamation on their part and will expose the Osundairo brothers as the frauds they are.
“At first we thought this comical legal document was a parody,” said Geragos and Glandian to TMZ. “Instead, this so-called lawsuit by the brothers is more of their lawyer driven nonsense, and a desperate attempt for them to stay relevant and further profit from an attack they admit they perpetrated.”
Smollett has since had all charges dropped and avoided 16 felony counts of filing a false police report which stunned everyone. He was facing 40+ years in prison. Flip the page to check out their attorney discussing the lawsuit.
