NBA Youngboy is one of the hottest rappers out right now but staying out of trouble is just something he’s struggling with. During the Rolling Loud festival in Miami last weekend, him and his entourage were reportedly involved in a shootout with Tee Grizzley’s by the Trump International Beach Resort which left his girlfriend Kay Marie shot, a man killed by a stray bullet while in a car, along with a five-year-old being grazed.
Now, Youngboy’s involvement is putting him right back in jail, according to TMZ. Police say that he was taken into custody after a hearing in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana today and he will be detained for 30 days. District Judge Bonnie Jackson said that the involvement in the shooting and addressing the incident on social media were violations of his probation. Over the weekend though, police in Miami had cleared him of any charges after saying his team retaliated in self-defense.
The incident violates his probation from his August 2017 sentencing where he had an aggravated assault with a firearm charge. He was put on probation for three years, had a suspended 10-year sentence, and was ordered to stay off social media. He was arrested in Atlanta earlier this year as well, as he was with a female friend of his who attacked a hotel employee.
