It appears that Sonic The Hedgehog is going to get a major facelift.
The new Sonic The Hedgehog movie trailer premiered on Tuesday and fans were not happy with Sonic’s look.
Fans took to social media to criticize the design of the iconic character as many were not pleased with the hedgehog’s human-like look.
According to Variety, ‘Sonic’ director Jeff Fowler heard the complaints loud and clear and promised that changes are coming ahead of the film’s debut coming this November.
Fowler saying in a tweet today,
“Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be..”
Most of the criticism of the Hedgehog’s look surrounded his human-like teeth, which had fans squirming just a bit.
Admittedly, the teeth look a bit weird, but it could’ve been a lot worse.
Nonetheless, social media is excited about the changes as they hope that filmmakers for the ‘Sonic’ movie can get it right before November.
