Ezekiel Elliott was handcuffed outside of the EDC Music Festival this weekend in Las Vegas.
This according to TMZ.
Elliott was detained according to his attorney after shoving a security officer.
He was seen arguing with his girlfriend in the wee hours of Saturday morning according to the report.
He never put his hands on his girlfriend, but blocked her with his body not allowing her to leave during the argument.
Shortly after he and his girlfriend are seen with event staffers, Elliott confronts one of the staffers and says,
“You got something to say!?!”
He then shoves the staffer to the ground, after getting into the face of the staffer, with his forearm and shouts immediately afterwards,
“I didn’t do anything!”
He was then immediately handcuffed and escorted away by Las Vegas Police.
According to Elliott’s attorney, Frank Salzano, he was not formally charged with a crime and not formally arrested.
Salzano told TMZ,
“Security misconstrued and overreacted to the situation. He was cuffed as a precautionary measure. He was released with no charges. He left Vegas that night and went to his [youth football camp in Dallas] on Sunday.”
It will remain to be seen what’s next and how the NFL handles the situation.
