Kawhi Leonard’s free agency is definitely one of the most talked about scenarios of the NBA offseason at this point. His Toronto Raptors just won their first NBA title in his first season with the team as he captured his second championship along with his second NBA Finals MVP awards with a second team.
People have been looking for any signs that Kawhi could possibly stay in Toronto. There were rumors that he bought a home there but he shut that down during the Finals. Now, he just signed an endorsement deal with Cargojet Airways which is based in Mississauga, Ontario. Cargojet also gave Toronto’s own Drake his plane.
The company posted different photos with Kawhi on Instagram with the caption for the first post saying “Welcoming the King Of The North, the real #funguy to the Cargojet family. #kingoftheskies @ajay_virmani @kawhielite” Financial details of the deal have not yet been revealed. This is a good start for Raptors fans in hoping that he stays in Toronto and continues to build off of their current winning culture. The city has embraced Leonard heavily and him starting to do business in the country could be the start of him staying with the Raptors long-term.
