The Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics have engaged in trade talks to acquire Anthony Davis.
This according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The centerpiece of the Lakers deal would surround the 4th overall pick, but reports are that multiple teams would have to get involved.
The Lakers could potentially add in Kyle Kuzma or get other teams involved to make a trade work.
According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Lakers have made Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball available for trade.
The Celtics have multiple assets that could be used in a trade for Davis including Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
Rich Paul, Davis’ agent told Sports Illustrated Wednesday that if the Celtics trade for Davis it would be for one year only.
The Celtics seem to be motivated anyway to get Davis despite Paul’s statements.
Things are heating up around Davis, so stay tuned.
