Forbes Releases List Of Top Five Richest Rappers of 2019; You Might Be Surprised At Who Doesn’t Make The List

Forbes recently revealed that Jay Z is hip-hop’s first billionaire as they broke down what got him to this point such as his music catalogue, helping jump start D’USSE, along with his real estate assets. Now, their top five is officially out and there are some surprises.

Drake had another epic year in 2018 as he released his fifth studio album “Scorpion” and took over that summer with the hit record “In My Feelings” featuring City Girls. Forbes has now placed him at No. 5 on their list of highest paid rappers at $150 million. They added that his fortune grew by 50% over the past year and factors responsible for that are from real estate to his his Virginia Black whiskey and new residency at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas.

Kanye West checks in at the fourth spot at $240 million. Ye made headlines in 2019 for his allegiance to Donald Trump and MAGA. That didn’t stop the streams from coming in as last summer, he released his eighth studio album, “Ye.” It has since been certified gold with $750,000 units. He’s been rumored to release his new album “Yandhi” sometime this year.

Diddy continues to make Forbes’ top five every year and that’s the case for 2019 as he’s placed at No. 3 with $740 million. Owning brands such as Revolt and his Ciroc vodka continue to bring the big bags in as he has his Bad Boy Records label as well which features stars such as French Montana and Machine Gun Kelly.
