Two years post going viral documenting his interstate manhunt “The Race” rapper Tay-K was in court Wednesday July 17th for day three of his capital murder trial. The rapper has plead not guilty to one count of capital murder and aggravated robbery. While pleading guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery by threats. Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports during the second day of testimony fugitive investigator George Gyure testified that following his arrest in Elizabeth, New Jersey Tay-K told investigators that he swallowed a bottle of pills. Subsequently he was taken to a hospital but when they found no medical issues, he said he was hearing voices and spent about a day-and-a-half in a psychiatric ward before being released to the juvenile detention center.
Tay-K currently stands trial for a 2016 home invasion in Mansfield, Texas which left 21-year old Ethan Walker dead and 19-year old roommate Zachary Beloate short. If convicted of capital murder Tay-K will automatically be sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after serving 40 years.
