Maxim Dadshev had surgery at Maryland Hospital for swelling of the brain after collapsing outside the ring.
The doctors told reporters the surgery last for two hours. After the surgery, Dadshev still remains in critical care and he is now in a medically induced coma.
“Right now, he’s in critical condition, but the doctor told me that he’s stable,” said Donatas Janusevicius who is the strength and conditioning coach to ESPN reporters.
“We know that the bleeding has stopped. Also, the swelling has stopped. So some positive news, and we hope and pray for the best.”
