It’s good to be Team USA right now.
Fresh off the team’s 2-0 victory in the World Cup final Sunday against the Netherlands, video footage captured the team’s postgame celebrations in the locker room. One of the players was able to get star Alex Morgan twerking on video to Lil’ Jon and the Ying Yang Twins.
It’s good to see Morgan let loose, after she was heavily criticized earlier in the tournament for her post-goal celebration against England in the semi-finals, which resulted in Megan Rapinoe defending her teammate.
Earlier Monday afternoon, Team USA arrived at Newark Airport in preparation for their victory parade, that is scheduled to take place Wednesday morning in Manhattan down Broadway, via The Washington Post.
The women decided to keep the celebration going, sipping on some adult beverages while Queen’s “We Are The Champions” played. Can’t blame them for going hard after winning back-to-back World Cups.
