On Thursday, Redskins super fan Carletha “Nana” West celebrated her 107th birthday. It was a special day in Alexandria, VA as she was joined by team president Bruce Allen and play-by-play announcer Larry Michael.
West became a Redskins fan in the 1930s and has been riding with them every year since then. She was also a fan of Sammy Baugh, who played with Washington from 1937-1952. He won two NFL titles with the team. As a gift, she was given a Redskins jersey with the No. 107 and “Nana” on the back.
Bana was overwhelmed with joy at getting the jersey from the team that means to her the most. Flip the page to check out the nice moment.
