After reaching an undisclosed settlement with the NFL in a collusion lawsuit, Eric Reid signed with the Carolina Panthers three weeks into last year’s NFL season.
Over the remainder of the season, Reid’s name repeatedly was selected when it came time for the league to drug test players on the Panthers roster.
According to league rules 72 players on Carolina’s roster are eligible to be drug tested. The odds of Reid being chosen that frequently is a 1-588 chance (.17% if you’re a math nerd) according to Yahoo Sports.
The shenanigans appear to have continued a mere two weeks into training camp as more “random” tests continue to follow the Panthers safety.
