On March 15, Cowboys Defensive End Tyrone Crawford was involved in a bar brawl in Panama City Beach, FL where he threw punches at security. Cops also tried to get involved but they got hit by Crawford as well.
Crawford was supposedly helping his brother at the bar, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He spoke with the media today about the incident and is coming to his own defense by saying “I did what I had to do as best I could.” He just wants a chance to let everyone know his take on the whole situation.
“I am going to let God take it,” Crawford said. “I can’t speak on it too much. I am going to let God take it and handle everything, however it works out, it works out. Hopefully, they see my side.”
Crawford originally got hit with a misdemeanor charge for the incident but copped a plea deal where he has to complete an anger management assessment and stay out of trouble for six months. If that is done, the charges will be dropped. The Cowboys open up their 2019 regular season at home vs the Giants on 9/8.
