We all know that ESPN has a huge 10 part 30 for 30 coming on the Chicago Bulls dynasty called The Last Dance. This will not premiere until 2020, but we got news about something coming to help the wait.
ESPN has decided that the 2x NBA Defensive Player of the Year, Dennis Rodman has enough material to fill up his own documentary. Los Angeles Times columnist Arash Markazi reports the Rodman doc is coming September 10th:
Dennis Rodman was one of the more interesting characters in sports history and was prominently featured in the 30 for 30 piece on the Detroit Pistons’ “Bad Boys” era. Rodman will have a major role in “The Last Dance,” a 10-part 30 for 30 series on the 1990s Chicago Bulls that will debut next year. Rodman, however, will get his own 30 for 30 documentary, which will premiere Sept. 10 on ESPN. The film will be narrated by Jamie Foxx and chronicle Rodman’s Hall of Fame career and infamous exploits on and off the court.
Rodman had quite the interesting career from his different hairstyles, his rough playing style to his off the court lifestyle. He is still in the news today with his diplomatic relationship with North Korea’s Kim Jung Un. ESPN has a ton of material to choose from.
