So is Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fighting Manny Pacquiao or not?

Mayweather made waves several days ago when video surfaced of him announcing a potential rematch with Manny Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia.

Social media was abuzz with the idea that MayPac2 would potentially happen given the circumstances and controversy that surrounded their first fight.

Well, it appears the rematch isn’t actually happening, according to Mayweather himself.

Mayweather took to Instagram to let fans know the “10 second” hype video wasn’t for real.

In fact, Mayweather says the video was made eight months ago, despite his father saying the fight will happen recently.

Moreover, the undefeated fighter says he was paid $2.2 million to say he was traveling to Saudi Arabia to make the rematch, providing bank statements as proof.

Mayweather telling IG,

“…the fight will never happen again.”

Will the fight ultimately happen?

Maybe.

For now, it appears ‘TBE’ trolled everybody to the tune of another $2.2 million.
