Kathryn Mayorga is the woman who claims that Juventus F.C star Cristiano Ronaldo raped her in a Las Vegas hotel room back in 2009. This all supposedly occurred in the Rain Nightclub in the Palms resort in his penthouse suite. In 2018, an investigation was launched but this summer, police have said there’s lack of evidence and dropped the case last month.
Ronaldo is now admitting that he did pay $375,000 in hush money to Mayorga while admitting that he’s still innocent, according to TMZ Sports. A civil lawsuit was filed against him by Mayorga but Ronaldo soon file court documents asking for that to be thrown out due to a binding settlement agreement and statue of limitations expiring.
“Mr. Ronaldo paid Plaintiff the sum of $375,000 and both parties agreed to be bound by explicit confidentiality and non-disparagement obligations,” stated by Ronaldo’s estate in documents.
Ronaldo says that the hush money is simply for keeping the issue out of the public eye. At this point, a judge will make a decision on whether or not Mayorga’s lawsuit continues. Flip the page for photos of the two together and TMZ video of Ronaldo not being charged in this case.
