The NCAA announced what’s being called the “Rich Paul Rule” announcing that they have changed regulations when it comes to student-athletes “testing the waters for the NBA draft”. One of these including all potential agents looking to sign student-athletes must have a bachelor’s degree. Among other regulations the NCAA put out it was clear, it was aimed at agents such as Rich Paul.
Lebron James didn’t take to kindly to this posting two tweets showing his support for Rich Paul. It seems the NCAA saw the tweets and responded Wednesday with a statement. Here’s a quote from the statement.
Although some can and have been successful without a college degree, as a higher education organization the NCAA values a college education and continues to emphasize the importance of earning a degree”.
