Yes, you read that headline correctly. 2019 is a bizarre time. In a “where’s Ja Rule” moment OJ Simpson took to his Twitter to weigh in on the recent gun violence and other current events happening in America.
Simpson in the video made comparisons between Nazi Germany, specifically how Germany reacted after World War I and the recent mass shootings that happened in El Paso and Dayton:
“What’s amazing, is when the war was over, how many Germans said they didn’t know the atrocities were taking place? I guess they were too blinded by the economy.”
Simpson continued.
“Now, in America, our economy is booming — thank God, love it. What else is booming? Hatred. To me, anyone who is not speaking out loudly against the ideology that these people have that are committing these crimes, against the guns that are being used for the crimes, if they’re not against it, they must be for it.”
Simpson finished off his video by summing up what he was trying to get at.
Booming economy. Hatred. Sounds familiar.”
These are wild times we’re living in 2019.
