Every since we reported the Jay-Z, NFL Partnership agreement there has been a sense of disagreement from a mass majority of fans and celebrities. Whether you agree or disagree with the partnership, if you don’t take a stance or begin a stance per say, when will you begin to change the narrative of doing just nothing?
Its further been rumored, Jay-Z has been in talks on wanting to become an eventual owner of a NFL franchise. The writing is on the wall if this deal does eventually go down.
The first and obvious business move that will be debated regardless on if it happens or not, is will Jay-Z sign Colin Kaepernick?
Rapper Vic Mensa spoke with TMZ on his thoughts on Jay-Z eventually becoming a NFL Owner stating,
“I would be surprised if Colin Kaepernick doesn’t get a job with HOV being in the NFL”
Mensa further says,
“We know the NFL is a slave game, so to have a black man in there, especially a black man in there with a social conscious responsibility, cause I know that’s how HOV feels man”.
Vic has stated he has tremendous respect for Jay-Z and thinks the community should stand behind Jay in efforts of trying to change the narrative of just taking a knee; When do we actually move past taking a knee and put action behind social injustices and reform?
Flip the page to see Vic Mensa side with Jay-Z and hope everyone else does the same.
