Could Dwight Howard become a member of the Los Angeles Lakers once again?
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers are expected to request permission to speak with Howard, and their is mutual interest in him returning to the team.
Howard, an eight-time All-Star, is currently a member of the Memphis Grizzlies, but the team is expected to eventually release him, according to Charania.
Howard, of course, spent one season with the Lakers during the 2012-13 season where he played 76 games. He spent this past season with the Washington Wizards.
The Lakers are in the market for another center after DeMarcus Cousins went down with a torn ACL last week.
