It was rumored that Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott turned down a $30 million a year deal and according to Jane Slater of the NFL Network, the rumor is true.
Not only did Dak turned down the $30 million a year offer, he wants $40 million a year. It’s not known what the specifics would be but it sounds like Dak wants to be the highest paid quarterback in the NFL.
Slater says Dak won’t be taking a hometown discount and although he wants $40 million a year, if the deal gets done it would be around $34-$35 million a year.
Hopefully Dak gets his money but I can see him being franchise tagged until they can get a deal done.
