Even a year after her death Aretha Franklin’s estate is being disputed, this time by her sister in law.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Earline Franklin filed a lawsuit Aretha’s estate in an attempt to get paid for her caregiver services for the months of April through August 2018.
The lawsuit breaks down how much Earline is seeking each month. $16,740 (April), $17,298 (May), $16,470 (June), $17,298 (July) and $4,464 (August). She is also looking for $5,000 for “Return of Air Force Military Flag.”
Aretha Franklin’s estate has been hotly contested for the last year, as the Motown legend didn’t have a will at the time of her passing last August.
