According to TMZ, National activist and black-balled NFL Player Colin Kaepernick’s Nike Ad “Dream Crazy” scored a HUGE win, yesterday winning an 2019 Emmy for Best Commercial. Others in the category included Apple and Netflix.
The Emmy winning commercial focused on overcoming obstacles and defeating all odds. While mentioning overcoming odds, Colin mentioned Lebron James, who came from a single mom household. Colin mentioned Serena Williams as well, who is from Compton, California; both who define the notion of overcoming the odds. Colin’s famous quote in the commercial which took tons of heat, primarily from MAGA “stans”, stated,
“Believe in something even if it means sacrificing everything.”
As reported, Colin Kaepernick has obviously been black-balled from the NFL for his stance on injustices, police brutality and minorities being mistreated by law enforcement.
Moreover, critics also felt that since Kaepernick settled with the NFL, his stance was invalid and that he isn’t really standing for a cause due to his earnings.
People were so outraged by the Nike campaign they went as far as boycotting the brand and apparel company, which ultimately did nothing but cause more gross earnings for the company.
Hopefully, this is just the start of more W’s to come for Colin.
