On Tuesday night Kobe Bryant was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Bryant spent part of his time clearing up some comments he had towards former teammate Shaquille O’Neal and Sports Gossip had more information.
The 41-year old Mamba wanted to clarify on some comments he made on Shaq’s work ethic. Kobe basically said they would’ve won more championships if Shaq wasn’t lazy.
Kobe wanted to set the record straight about the comments and said:
It was really a compliment. People missed the whole first half of that, which I said ‘he was the most dominant player I’d ever seen and I felt like he could’ve been the greatest of all time’,” Kobe explained to Jimmy. “People kind of missed that part of it — they caught onto the lazy part. But, that was like, I kinda said that tongue-in-cheek! We weren’t going to win 12 rings!”
Don’t look into the comments too much, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal are no longer feuding. Kobe said he sent a text to Shaq:
“No hard feelings, I still got love for you!”
