Former NBA coach Byron recently concluded what has been a lengthy battle with his ex-wife Anita Scott that ultimately has led him to owe her millions of dollars as well as monthly payments in the future.
Getting divorced hasn’t stopped the former Lakers coach from living his life, as he just announced his engagement to reality star Cece Gutierrez on Instagram. Cece Gutierrez stars on the Basketball Wives reality show where Byron Scott’s son also appears.
The two made the revelation to the world with a one minute clip at the Shade Hotel in Manhattan just before their engagement celebration was set to begin.
Anita wanted $60k a month in support, but had to “settle” for $7k. She also was able to get $2+ million from their joint bank accounts.
We wish Byron Scott the best, but if his past marriage is any indication of the future of this new union, he may want to get a pre-nup or start putting money aside now for the rainy days ahead.
