A group of Florida men were recently sentenced for their roles in a speedboat incident that occurred over two years ago.
Leading the way according to Bradenton Herald, The Florida Fish Wildlife & Commission pushed for these men to be charge after public outrage of the video showed the entire ordeal.
Robert Benac and Michael Wenzel were sentenced for dragging a live shark from a speedboat and pouring alcohol down fish throats. Both of the suspects accepted plea deals for their roles in the animal cruelty charges which included, 250 hours of service at a nearby animal shelter, paying a 250 dollar fine, losing their fishing license for 3 years, and spending 10 days in jail, according to Yahoo.
Charges against the third man were eventually dropped with no reason on why.
As seen in the video the men were laughing while the shark suffered from being dragged at high speeds from the motorboat.
