After dominating the Browns en route to a 43-13 win last week, the Titans look to continue their winning ways as they take on the Indianapolis Colts.
This game is pretty big on the Titans’ end for a couple of reasons. The Titans have the chance to start out 2-0 for the first time since 2008. That 2008 season saw the Titans win their first 10 games, along with the AFC South and the #1 seed in the AFC.
I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a pretty successful season to me. Just my opinion though.
The Titans could also start out this season with a key division win early on. Something that could come in handy for divisional winning purposes and even playoff seeding.
To add more sentimental value to the game, Eddie George and Steve McNair will have their jerseys retired during halftime of the game. A jam-packed game with lots of value on and off the field.
Couldn’t ask for anything better.
Now on to the on the field tidbits. The Titans will be without Kevin Pamphile once again this Sunday. He’s still dealing with a knee injury and hasn’t practiced at all this week. So look for Jamil Douglas to get a 2nd straight start at RG this Sunday.
Reggie Gilbert won’t play either against the Colts. Gilbert was acquired from the Packers before week 1, but also has been dealing with a knee issue. That knee injury hasn’t allowed Gilbert to practice or play since he became a Titan.
Those are just the news on the injury front for the Titans. I have even more things to watch for, including Corey Davis’ potential bounce-back game this weekend, and more below.
