Former NFL receiver Victor Cruz has a itch for making a NFL comeback. Cruz told TMZ sports recently,
“I still wake up thinking about it,” Cruz said of a possible return to the NFL. “I’m still in good shape. I can still run, jump and do all those things. Absolutely.”
Cruz continued stating he thinks that he could produce in the league and at a top notch level. It would be interesting, that he hasn’t played a snap since 2016, and the on field conditioning and reps are totally different from working out in the gym or with trainers.
According to NFL.com from 2011-16 Cruz racked up 25 TD’s including 2 season with over 1000 yards, and over 4500 total yards received, so by any means Cruz was no slouch especially with inconsistent quarterback play.
The Giants who just made rookie QB out of Duke University, the starter, could actually use some help on the outside.
With newly inquired receiver Golden Tate being suspended for the first four games of the season due to a banned substance, and injuries from other receivers, Cruz could indeed be an addition depending on what type of physical shape the former receiver is in.
Will Cruz actually make a return? Cruz stated,
“”Obviously, I know where I’m at in my life right now,” Cruz tells us. “I gotta pay the bills a different way.”
