27-year-old Faze Banks is one of the biggest esports gamers in the world as he’s the founder of the FaZe Clan group and is very successful in game such as “Call of Duty,” “Fortnite,” and “Overwatch.” Offset, Lil Yachty and Post Malone have also joined his gaming group due to his skills.
According to TMZ though, Banks is running into some legal troubles as he’s being investigated by police in Law Vegas for trashing his hotel room. On October 14, a call was made to the Wynn resort due to a complaint about destruction of property. According to sources close to the situation, there was broken furniture, holes in walls, smashed window, broken lamp stand, pictures off the wall, carpet stains, and more.
Weirdly enough, plants were also destroyed as soil was seen on the floor. The nice TV in the room was seen with huge cracks in it too. In total, Banks is facing $30,000 worth of damages and the charge he could be hit with is felony malicious destruction of property. The maximum prison sentence for this conviction is five years.
Police told TMZ that this is a very common theme in Vegas hotel rooms and that these resorts typically drop the cases if the damages are paid for. A rep for Banks has since released a statement saying “FaZe Clan and Encore are working together to resolve this matter.” The Wynn hasn’t filed any charges yet so it looks like they’re expecting the damages to be paid for by Banks.
