The father of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot found himself in the middle of an investigation after an Ohio deputy had to gun down an exotic cat. The animal in question is a Serval Cat, a rare species native to Africa taken down near Stacy Elliot’s property.
Acting on reasonable suspicion a search warrant was carried out at Stacy Elliot’s Fairfield County residence. No items were taken from the home as the authorities who executed the search warrant looked for signs of the Serval Cat’s presence. If Ezekiel Elliott’s father is found to be the owner of the animal, charges could be pursued which could include both felony and misdemeanor violations. In Fairfield County residents may possess Serval Cats, however, a permit is required to do so. Currently, no such permits have been granted to anyone within Fairfield County.
