Tacko Fall is one of the most intriguing rookies this season due to his ridiculous 7’6″ height. He didn’t play in the Celtics’ 107-93 loss in Philly last night and has now ran into a setback days before Boston’s season opener
According to MassLive, the 23-year-old was washing his hands at Boston’s practice facility, the Auerbach Center, and he hit his head as he ran into a low ceiling. At the time, it didn’t bother him. He went on to go to the Celtics’ swim lesson event at the Charlestown Boys and Girls Club and then went back to Auerbach Center to get some shots up.
The next morning though, Fall wasn’t feeling too well and that’s when he was placed in concussion protocol. Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens has since said that Fall will be okay. He described the incident as a “freak thing.”
“Tacko got hit in the head yesterday after individual work,” Stevens said. “He was a little under the weather. It sounds like being very cautious about that.”
Fall has since been around the team and at practice. He participated in the Celtics’ morning shootaround prior to the Philly game as well. He says he will be cleared “real soon.” Even without the concussion, he wasn’t going to be active for the game against the Sixers.
