Jimmy Butler is beginning a new chapter of his NBA career as he’s starting his first season with the Miami Heat. There’s not heavy expectations for Miami but they can definitely sneak into the playoffs and possibly make some noise.
Butler spoke to Haute Living Magazine and doesn’t expect to be perfect. He used art analogies by saying you don’t have to be a Picasso because it’s a Picasso. He prefers to be different while still being great as he compares being a Banksy with the art instead.
“I’m not saying I’m a piece of art. What I’m saying is that some people don’t understand a Picasso, but you have to take the damn Picasso anyway because it’s a Picasso. I think I’m that way. You may not understand me, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to change. A Picasso is going to stay a Picasso. But seriously, I’m not a Picasso — I’m more like a Banksy!”
There may not be much pressure to win in the postseason from the Heat, but critics do expect Butler to be a good leader of this team and deliver wins. He can definitely still play at an all-star level.
