Philadelphia Eagles Linebacker Zach Brown probably won’t spend any time pregame catching up with his old teammate Kirk Cousins this Sunday when his team meets the Minnesota Vikings.
Brown had some harsh words for his 2017 Redskins teammate. Cousins had one of his better years as a pro, throwing for 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions with 7 fumbles. Zach Brown was not impressed.
Sports Gossip quoted Brown:
Cousins, I think every defense is going to want that guy to throw the ball,” Brown said. “For me, that’s probably the weakest part of their offense is him. Everything else is good. They’ve got a good running game, probably one of the best in the league. They have real good receivers. You just want them to pass the ball. You want Kirk Cousins to get it in his hands.”
“I realized when I was in Washington, he was kind of careless with the ball. But at the same time, hey, you make the bed you sleep in,” Brown said.
“I was at the Redskins with him so I know about him. That’s my viewpoint on him.”
Kirk Cousins is coming off his best game of the season last week against the New York Giants. We’ll see if Zach Brown can back up his words on Sunday.
