Jay Gruden appears to be in a lot of trouble.
There is video circulating that shows Gruden smoking weed and trying to hit on young women at a bar.
The Redskins have released their statement, or rather a non-statement, saying they declined to comment on the matter. BSO has confirmed the video isn’t recent, but it isn’t super old.
Gruden isn’t doing anything illegal, but if you wondering why it was leaked now, PFT has a theory.
For now, it’s fair to wonder whether someone within the Washington organization had a role in leaking the videos.
Some in league circles wonder whether the team hopes to fire Gruden with cause, cutting off his right to ongoing pay. That’s precisely what the team did more than two years ago, when firing G.M. Scot McCloughan.
