It’s been a rough season for Sam Darnold and Jets fans.
Darnold, the Jets, starting QB and hopeful franchise quarterback, has been out since week two after contracting mononucleosis, and the Jets have started off the season 0-4 as a result.
Darnold’s recovery has been a slow burn, and he’s still not cleared for action, and he will miss the Jet’s upcoming game with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Missing games right now aren’t Darnold’s top priority right now, as he’s just trying to get healthy as he reiterated in a press conference on Thursday.
I want to make sure that I’m safe out there, and that I’m not going to die.”
Hopefully, Darnold can get back healthy and try to salvage the remnants of the Jets fledgling season.
