Watch UFC Star Francis Ngannou Call Out Light Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones For Mega-fight; Is Francis Willing to Drop Weight to Fight Jones (Video)

The number 2 ranked heavyweight in the UFC Francis Ngannou wants to fight the best of the best, even if that includes fighting Lightweight champ Jon Jones.

Francis who spoke with TMZ states,

“Listen, let’s be clear about something. If that’s what you want to know, if I would fight Jon Jones if he goes up to heavyweight, of course. I would say the same thing as he says, it’s inevitable if Jon Jones goes to heavyweight. I’m gonna fight him.”

These comments come in a response from Jones tweeting out none of the heavyweights excite him.

What’s causing this fight from happening?

Francis naturally fights at 254 and Jon naturally fights around 205 which is over a 40 pound weight differential.

Going into a bout would potentially put drain either fighter trying to fight at the opponents weight class; regardless if they’re in Olympic level top shape.

Does Francis feel disrespected by the UFC?

Ngannou told TMZ, the UFC offered him a fight with lower ranked Alexander Volkov on November 9th, but only gave him short notice of this potential fight; 18 days to be exact. He ultimately rejected the offer not only because of the short notice but also he feels Volkov is not on his level in terms of fighting.

Francis furthermore went into depth about the UFC not booking him legit fights.

He states, he needs money and wants to provide for his family during the holidays.

“I just want to tell the UFC to pay me some respect and give me a damn fight, that’s what I’m asking for. I was expecting to have a fight by December to make my Christmas and New Year for my family,” Francis tells us.
