Back in August, audio recording surfaced of Lakers Center, DeMarcus Cousins, allegedly threatening to shoot his baby mama, Cherry West, in the head. This was over her not letting their son attend his wedding in Atlanta. The exact words were that he’d put a bullet in her f*cking head.
The incident went down on August 23, one day before the wedding. West recorded the call while she was in Cousins’ home state of Alabama with the seven-year-old. In documents filed for a restraining order, she stated that Cousins said he would kill her even if he didn’t have to get his hands dirty.
Now, Cousins is officially of the hook. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, third-degree harassment charges have been dropped. Cousins’ attorney, Moshae Donald, says it was dismissed in a Mobile, Alabama court.
As far as Cousins and his NBA career, he continues to suffer from injuries. He signed a 1-year deal with the Lakers this summer but suffered a torn ACL while working out in Las Vegas. LA Head Coach Frank Vogel hasn’t ruled him coming back sometime this season.
