Former Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Telvin Smith shocked fans when he decided to sit this season out for personal reasons. Ever since the decision, things have been quiet on that front.
Until now.
Smith’s black Cadillac Escalade was towed from his home earlier today. It was so bad that a crime scene van was spotted outside of his Florida home.
Neighbors even said Smith was handcuffed.
According to News4Jax, the police were executing a search warrant.
Court records in Lowdnes County, Ga., show Smith has a contempt hearing in a child support case with the mother of one of his children scheduled for Tuesday in Valdosta. A court document accuses Smith of failing to pay tuition and mandatory expenses.
In another filing, court records in Lowdnes County show a notice was filed Monday by a neutral party saying an impasse had been reached in a separate child support case.
