A few days ago, Colin Kaepernick agreed to have a workout outside of Atlanta at the Falcons’ practice facility in Flowery Branch this Saturday where representatives from NFL teams will show up to see if they want to sign him. According to Adam Shefter of ESPN, 11 teams have confirmed they will attend and they are the Cardinals, Falcons, Browns, Broncos, Lions, Dolphins, Patriots, Giants, Jets, Buccaneers, and Redskins.
All 32 teams will receive footage of the workout and interviews that Kaepernick will give. The whole situation seems a bit fishy though considering that the NFL wouldn’t let Colin work out on a Tuesday, only had two hours to decided if he wanted to do the workout, and the fact that it will be on a Saturday where reps from teams are traveling to their respective games or at college football games. The league is optimistic that more reps will come and a rumored team is the Cowboys.
As you can imagine, this would be a very unusual fit for Kaepernick. Team owner Jerry Jones is MAGA, loves Donald Trump and always makes sure players don’t kneel to protest racism and police brutality in America, as Kaep did in 2016. Surprisingly not, a lot of Dallas weren’t feeling the idea of him in a Cowboys uniform.
