A report recently was released, and it detailed the NBA and sweeping changes it wants to make to it’s regular season.
Including shortening the season to 78 games, a midseason tournament, and a postseason play in tournament for bubble teams in both conferences.
These changes would certainly require some sort of adjusting, and could seemingly change the way the season in managed for some teams.
This would eliminate any sort of guarantee that if you secure the 8th seed because of record, you can rest easy and not worry about any team trying to nip at your heels.
It has the makings of some entertaining basketball, but would also change the routines and daily schedules NBA players follow.
So some sort of push back is to be expected.
The early push back includes James Harden, the 2017-2018 NBA MVP.
