Florida State Head Coach Wille Taggart was fired on Sunday after the Seminoles lost in a blowout to Miami on Saturday. The Florida State head coaching job is one of the most coveted in college football, and it’s sparked several rumors about who’s going to take the job.
One of the coaches linked to having interest in the FSU job is current FAU head coach Lane Kiffin.
CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd reported that Kiffin has expressed interest in the job.
Kiffin has quite the sordid history as a head coach, starting as the Oakland Raiders head coach before being fired after one season, coaching the Tennesse Volunteers before jumping ship after one year to USC.
Kiffin has denied having an interest in the FSU job on Twitter when a fan asked if Kiffin was going to jump to FSU after the season.
